In order to fulfill your New Year intention it’s important to get very clear on what it is you really want. Here’s a meditation to help you do this.
Follow seven breaths in and out. Start to imagine yourself one year from now. You’re living your happiest, healthiest, most vibrant life possible. Try to imagine in as much detail as possible.
What are you doing more of? Less of? Who are you doing this with? Where are you? How do you feel? Why is this important to you? What’s your motivation?
Once this vision is clear it’s time to put pen to paper. Write a letter to someone you know deeply cares about your well-being, perhaps even more than you care about your own. You won’t actually send this letter. It’s more to get you in the right frame of mind.
Start your letter like this: Dear so and so, I had the most amazing year ever! Now write down your vision.
The last step is to create your vision board. You can cut out pictures, words, and phrases from magazines, add your own photographs, and decorate in any way that inspires you.
Place your vision board somewhere in your home that’s private but where you will see it every day. This will serve as a reminder of how you want to live.
