Beginner’s mind makes it possible to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Living more in the moment, we can see new possibilities. We avoid getting stuck in any one particular way of seeing something.

So the next time you have a conversation with someone you know very well, pretend you don’t know them.

This may sound strange but I invite you to do this experiment. Be curious. Try to listen as though you were talking to a stranger. You may be surprised by what you learn.

Or the next time you’re doing something you could “do in your sleep” pretend you’re doing it for the first time. You may find a new way of doing the task or a new perspective.

Staying open lowers stress and can make the mundane feel sacred.
